Commerce Events Appoints Tim Harrington of WhereNet to the Advisory Board

CAMPBELL, Calif., Oct. 21 -- Commerce Events, Inc. (CME), the leader in powering adaptive supply chains, announced that market validation now encompasses both Defense and Fortune 500 needs. Tim Harrington, VP of Product Strategy at WhereNet, has joined the CME Advisory Board. Tim, as Chairman of the Real Time Locations Systems Committee of AIM, is an eminent thought leader in managing mobile assets. Tim will help guide CME’s strategy to compliment WhereNet’s solutions for the distributed management needs of Fortune 500 companies.

Tim has helped forge WhereNet’s reputation as a leading innovator in the fields of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain visibility. As Chairman of a high-profile group within AIM, Tim leads key industry initiatives, including education and promotion of RTLS technologies in supply chain markets. Tim is a frequent lecturer to industry groups and trade shows as well as the author of tens of articles for the industry press. “I am pleased to join CME’s Advisory board,” says Tim Harrington. “After a considerable amount of due diligence, I’ve found that CME provides unique capabilities to the market.”

CME lobbied for some time prior to having Tim Harrington agree to join the Advisory Board. “Having someone of Tim’s reputation on the Advisory Board is an important validation of CME’s approach to distributed logistics challenges,” said Andrew Preston, President and COO. “We are honored to have his guidance as we expand our efforts to Fortune 500 customers.”

CME’s solutions directly compliment WhereNet’s real-time location systems by providing a unified view of the organization’s assets, whether within a facility, in process, in transit, or in storage. CME’s solutions enable the right decisions to be made at every level – assembly line, plant, division, and company as a whole. “CME shows the promise of solving several challenges faced by our Fortune 500 customers. Having CME supplement our industry-leading solution will further cement WhereNet’s reputation as the only viable choice for location systems,” said Tim Harrington. “We look forward to engaging in customer trials in the near term.”
